‘Portrait of Southgate’ Art Trail
Utilising the existing hanging basket posts which run along Chase Side, London , N14 to tell historical and contemporary stories of Southgate. From medieval hunting scenes to1990’s iconic night clubs, people of literary note and businesses that have made a long standing contribution to the area are depicted. The unique cultural diversity of Southgate is represented in the mosaic designs through birds and textile patterns. Community partners and groups played a key role in the research, design and making of the work.
